1997maxima stalling on cold start only when put in gear

I have A 1997 nissan maxima that stall only cold when put in any gear it feels like torque converter looking up and stalling engine . alldata has listed rcall for shift solenoids but i would love too pressure test too verify this but am unable . Any suggestions?
