Can someone let me know the cylindr locations on this engine. We are wanting to know the order as I am getting a cylinder misfire in 7. However we are not real sure which one is 7. So if you are facing the engine what cylinders are on the left and what cylinders are on the right.

Man that is one of the most posted replies on this forum. RTFSM...what the hell?

I posted a request for the service manual and didn't find one. So I don't think it exist.

Anyway we figured it out with out reading the service manually. Once we got in there they were labeled. My father-in-law is the one doing the service by the way not me. He has 30 years experience and is a GM certified tech so coilpacks and things of that nature are not new to him. He just wasn't sure if the cylinders were numbered the same as GM. We looked online before diving in and he said well i will just go look at it. While i searched and posted on the forum to see if I could find it. By the time i searched and posted. I went out to tell him I couldn't find it and he had already figured it out.

You may "think" but you don't "know."

There are TSB also, no matter what you may "think."

Sorry but I found that link as well a while back. 1997 engine service manual is not there. There is manuals for automatic transmission, body trim and braking system.

The 97 -01 engine are identical. In fact since 1989 all Nissan V8 have used the same cylinder layout.

I have a 97 and use the 98 service manual. Everything's still the same.

Bingo!

If you really want a 1997 FSM and all the TSB, pony up the $20 for a one day subscription and download them.
