Hi all,

I had my TPS replaced replaced today and my car drives a ton better, except now my RPMS run at about 2k while in park. And it seems like it wants to "take off" from lights or freeway traffic now. It's not a huge issue, but it just seems like the car wants to go.

So My question is; is this bad? I'm not sure, and I can't really just take time off to go find out what's wrong with it. Does this happen to anyone else? Any ideas?

Thanks guys!

It's not too bad. Your tps is just tuned too high. When I did mine in my 1999.5 Pathfinder it had high rpms. All I had to do was turn the tps I think clockwise but you'll have to figure out which way loosens it. Its a trial and error sort of thing so you'll be loosening it, starting the engine, and tightening or loosening again based on your rpms and your desired rpms. I'll try to post a more in depth how to later bug good luck! It can be tedious but its not difficult.
