I was able to take out the center climate control unit and get to the top 6 screw out of it, but it is still very solid! What is holding down on the bottom and how can i get to it?

Nevermind! i found out how to get it out....but I don't think i'm gonna follow through. I was hoping there would be an easy way to hook up my stereo to the stock speakers...but i don't think that's gonna happen

You need to remove the center console (wood dash). There are two screws securing it under the armrest. Lift the armrest & pop the part the secures the armrest down. You can also remove the center vents for easier access to the screws securing the wood & radio in the dash. There is as easy way to hook up your stock speakers. You can find an adapter for nissan radios at a local stereo shop. You also need an amplifier interface ( i believe that's what it's called) to allow your aftermarket radio to work with the bose speakers.

Yes it should work fine! It's been over a year since I changed mine. If I remember correctly the prongs on the adaptor should be four across(two on each side) on the top row & the bottom row will have prongs all the way across. Don't forget the amplifier interface. When hooking it all up don't make my mistake & forget to connect the cigarette lighter. Still haven't taken the time to do that.

You would actually hook the interface between the nissan harness & your aftermarket radio. Because the speakers themselves are amplified you need the interface to allow your radio to send the correct input (signals) to the speakers. You can get one at any stereo installation shop. They should know what you're looking for. Just tell them you have the Bose system in your car & want to switch to an aftermarket radio. They'll understand what you need. Or at least they should. Once you hook up your wires from the radio to the interface & then to the nissan harness it all plug & play then. If you've installed a car radio before or can follow directions pretty well you'll have no problems.

Hey! I need your help again! I went and bought the wiring harness for the nissan bose system for that year, but the guy at the store said he had never heard of a amplifier interface or anything of the sort. He also said that the bose speakers may burn up my reciever because they run at a lower ohm. I still bought the harness though. Have any more ideas? If you have a place where you can buy an amplifier interface, I would be great if you could pick one up and I could send you the money because I can't find one around here.
