This is on my green 97 which is now my wife's car. Overheated after running out of coolant due to a small leak in radiator. I came to her rescue, filled up the radiator and drove home with the gauge reading normal but "fluttering."
I replaced the radiator, flushed the coolant and bled the air from the system. Everything seems fine but the gauge still flutters, very rapid movement over about a 1/4" range. Seems to happen inconsistently and I'm curiosu what this might be.
any ideas?
This is now the first REAL breakdown at 245K and not really a breakdown since it was my fault but still a pretty good run.
