1997 q45 INFINITI Q45. Car is very bouncy

i bought an infiniti q45 1997 that has been lowered with s14 springs that caused the shocks to be blown. the car is really bouncy even the littlest ditch causes the car and everyone in it to bounce. I need new shocks and springs but dont know what i need or waht to do. if i can get any help here that would make it easier for me. Also i can't find any kyb sr specials shocks or anything else except for oem which is 200+ a shock. how can i fix the bounce? thanks

if you just got the car and cannot afford new shocks or struts.... let it go. Probably ATLEAST another 1k needed in suspension parts... couple hundred alone to rebush and redo all the little rubber pieces. From the sound of it, your lowered Q has taken quite the beating suspension wise

it was given to me by a friend and its the base model. i have the money to fix it i just need to know what to get. what do you mean about the rubber pieces being rebushed?

They are talking about the misc. rubber components that hold your suspension together ie tension rod bushings,ball joints,and on and on I just spent 2k redoing almost everything suspension related and still need a ball joint then alignment. You can replace just the shocks/inserts to stop the bouncing, how many Ks on car?

My car, floated/bounced a little when I got it. It sat around, rats nest in the plenum for a minute before I bought it. Try driving it around for a bit, unless its unbearable....

150,000k new diamond black paint job, weather tech sunvisors, it also came with curtains, i think im running on 18s

Okay, here is what I'd do. Call up memoryfab, go to http://www.memoryfab.com. You can get Insuurance springs and KYB SR Specials shocks from them. Then call everything infiniti and get all the rubber parts.

install all that and your car will be read to rock. Several peole did this recently, I did the SR Specials 5 years ago and they are still great with Tein lowering springs. this will cost you around 1k in parts, but totally worth it, that combo will transform the car!
