The lights that stay on are; TCC OFF, ABS, SLIP. Tthree individual lights, or indicators. After consulting the trouble codes and taking the vehicle in for diagnostics I was told it was the throttle position sensor. Did the resistance check on TPS and while sensor was still installed I check the resistance and no difference in OHM readings was detected so I went ahead and replace TPS. I did the resistance check on the old sensor and it worked fine, once taken off of the car. So I spent 75 dollars for nothing with that issue. Lights still illuminated. Took vehicle to another repair shop and he also used the diagnostic machine and reset my check engine light and turned it off. He put the more advanced diagnosed machine on the vehicle and now he tells me it is a Left rear sensor short in the wiring circuit. I do not know where this particular sensor is located and would like to know if you may be able to assist me in locating it and maybe showing me a pictorial of the sensor and itt's wiring locations so I may try and resolve this. The strange thing is that when I first unplugged the Throttle position sensor harness the light went out for about 1 mile then turned back on. The resistance check which I was adviced to do did not tell me to take off sensor first, so I though maybe the mechanical connection to the TPS sensor which I though should move when the throttle cable is pulled on giving me a varying resistance value, due to it being a type of variable resistance type of device.

Gotta love little electrical issues. I'm not exactly sure where that sensor is, but I'll check around to see if anyone knows.

Alternator? Battery? Check voltage at the battery with the engine off (12v) and running (14+v).

It's the ABS speed sensor. A short in one of those caused by dirt, grease, or metal shavings (did you recently replace your brakes?) will cause an interruption in that circuit, which controls TCS, ABS and Anti-Slip.

This just happened to my 05 Xterra (it was actually a pinched wire in the harness above the driver's rear sensor, as it turns out).

Really? The first guys told you it was a TPS issue? Do yourself a favor and never let them touch your car again.

In my experience, at least half if not three quarters of ABS issues were caused by a bad ABS sensor or wiring. The ABS codes will tell you which one, and it sounds like they scanned it and found it for you. Im not sure offhand where the sensor is on a Q45, but if it has two rear sensors it should have a hub and bearing assembly and the sensor would be on the hub. One rear sensor then its on the differential.

Thank you sir,
I was able to locate the sensor by the use of the online service manual, now all I have to do is check resistance value at different pin locations for sensor, hopefully this may be the problem I hope, one more question if it is the sensor do you know where I may purchase one for the best price, currently going to school full-time budget extremely tight. I cannot thank you enough for your input.

I am having a similar problem with my 1997 Q45.

Tcs Slip lights and check engine light reading p1320. and also p1320 for coilpack 5.

Changed all the spark plugs with NGK
Replaced all 8 coils.
Replaced EGR Valve.

I removed the connector to coil 5 and removed the green plastic which would not allow the connector to clip into the coil. I am going to try removing the coil and spark plug to see if its an oil spot like an earlier post said.

How do I get the codes from my TCS?

nicoSD... had any luck??

FYI, changing the EGR valve was not necessary and a waste of money. You could have just cleaned it. While it was off did you clean the tube and plenum?? The EGR vacuum Controller may have needed replaced long before the EGR... a $50 part from Infiniti's online parts store.
