does the entire dah need to be removed?

yes. i think you can get away with not removing the steering wheel. i started doing this myself and got about halfway through and said forget it. i live in miami and i never use the heat so i just put a bypass hose on the heater lines.

thanks! I was afraid of that. may just sell car and let someone else deal with it as I have several other things that need repaired. ready for a change and no repairs. it has been a great car!
