I just got the P0400 EGR code and wanted to add to the knowledge base about the likely (and easiest) repair.

Like others have found the short length of rubber hose connecting the EGR valve metal line and the EGR "breather" (DK what its called-lil help?) was crumpling, replaced the hose, took about 10 minutes and cleared the codes.

Try this hose first before replacing other parts.
