Good day to all,
It seems like my air mix door is stuck on my 97 q45 and I am unable to get it to open so that my air switches from cold to hot. As the winter is baring upon us this is def something I need to fix asap. I have ran the diagnostics and the codes have indicated it is the air mix door that is stuck. I had a mechanic somehow get the door to open by taking out my ac control unit and radio ( I am unable to locate him as of now) but I am unable to do so myself.
The last he told me was to move some of the hinges that are behind the ac unit and radio to open up the air mix door motor some. I have done so but am unable to locate the hinge that actually control or connects to moving the air mix door motor.
Any help or advice would be great as I am not looking to tear down the entire dash (as I understand this may have to be done). I do have the FSM but the HA section does not indicate what hinge (plastic pieces in which connects/turns air mix door/bi level door) connects to the air mix door.
