Should I go grease or greaseless fitting for rear sway bar links?

I had aftermarket links that only lasted a few years which I replaced last November with a set of mevotech and one is already clunking and not even a year yet.

I was thinking of MOOG K80435 that you can grease periodically. I have poly bushings on the bar.

I unintentionally purchased greaseable rear sway bar links almost 5yrs ago. Detroit Axle was supposedly the brand yet Amazon indicated the Moog part number K80435 in the "see more product details" section. I purchased them because of the 10yr warranty indicated and I had Amazon Rewards points that paid for them, plus the image shown on Amazon looked practically identical to non-greaseable OEM links. What I received were beefy greaseable links, nothing like what was advertised. However, they are holding up just fine. Looking at these types of parts, I have found many aftermarket brands use the same Moog part numbers. All made in China or Mexico with little or no supplier or quality control. I think it's the luck of the draw if you get a product like this that holds up for years without issue. I got lucky. Do you feel lucky?

OEM links cost twice as much as the aftermarket links, purchased within the USA, but you can rest assured you will never have to replace them again if you go OEM. I found the original links 56260-0W001 at PartsNext.com in the UAE for only $19 each but then it costs another $24 to ship the pair to the USA, delivery in less than 2wks.

The image below is one I purchased next to a worn out OEM. I still have my fingers crossed, hoping they continue to hold up well.

Mevotech ...
Engineered in Canada but made in China by various suppliers for the same part. They looked great on paper so I purchased their ball joints but received two different supplier made ball joints with various feature differences yet identified as the same part. Amazon got that order exchanged for me right away and I received the replacement order before I even sent back the original order. The replacement parts were made by yet another supplier in China, with obvious features and defects, I was able to identify as being made by a different source than the first set I received. Got a full refund on those and then purchased OEM parts. I was only lucky on this to not have installed the Mevotech joints.

Those beefy looking ones in your post look exactly like the moog-k80435 pictured on their website. You probably did end up getting Moog when you ordered. I think I'll give them a try, at least it can be greased. The 1 clunking mevotech link must have been defective as it looks like all the grease dried out inside of it. The other side is fine but I'll just change both and won't take a chance back with them.

I have mevotech front control arms on for a while now with no problems though. Those were the only parts I used that company for. The ball joints I went with Sankei 555.

Did you have problems with the zerk fitting hitting the lower suspension arm with those links? Seems like it would be a bit close

I have not had any problems with the zerk fittings hitting the control arms but they are uncomfortably close. I almost returned them right after purchasing because I thought they would hit when the back end swayed, but they don't.

I just got the moogs. They come with the zerk fitting on the side now so it won’t be a concern at all anymore. Also, it comes with white poly bushings instead of rubber.
