I'm having some issues with the a/c on my Pathfinder. I'm not too sure if it's the a/c system or the HVAC control unit in the vehicle, but to get cold air blowing the dial has to be turned down to 65, the lowest it can go. As soon as I turn it a notch or two higher, still well into the blue range, warm air starts blowing out. It not too warm in the NYC area, so there is defintely some issue going on here. Could it be the mode actuator assembly, the HVAC unit, or simply needs a recharge? I don't see any visible leaking or resude around the connections under the hood.

Most likely one of your sensors is open-circuit, either the Ambient or In-Vehicle. See HA-67 here:

Okay, I assume they must need to be replaced if that is the case? The in vehicle is the one near the ignition and the ambient is by the front grille?

That's correct. You can check them by shorting the connectors with a paper clip to make the HVAC think it's boiling hot. If the A/C behaves normally with the sensor wires shorted then the sensor is causing the issue. If it doesn't then the issue might be wiring, one of the wires will be signal and the other will be ground on both sensors. So with the connector loose, the signal wire should show 5V to ground and you should also show 5V to the other wire. If you show 0V on both then the signal wire is open, if you show 5V to ground but 0V across the wires then the ground wire is open.
