1997 Nissan Maxima wont turn over sometimes

Sometimes I have to turn the key several time before the engine will turn over. Once it turns it does so with no problem. Sort of makes a small click sometimes. I let go turn the key and it starts right up.

Maybe your key cylinder contact points are bad. That's the only thing I can guess.

Are you getting any chech engine lights? Does the car **** off when running and not want to start back up?
