I recently replaced the fuel pump and crank position sensor on my Altima. When I was finished it would crank over but not start. I pulled a plug wire off and tested for spark...nothing. I then pulled the electrical connector off of the coil to check for power...the test light lit up on one side like it should. I then grounded one side to the frame and applied the tester to the side with power, with the key on....shouldn't the test light flash upon doing this? AHHH!!! No flashing. What might be the problem...broken wire? (fuses have all been checked also.)

Pull off the cap of your distributor. Remove the rotor and then remove that lower black plastic piece. If oil pours out when doing this, your distributor seal is shot. Oil is pumping in the distributor and causing no contact to be made. You will need to get a new/reman distributor if this is the case.
