Hello everyone
I am looking for a way to get more power out of my ka24de
I have already put a cai and an apexi 3" cat back on it
I have researched tuning and have found nothing about being able to modify the 1997 ecu
Also have a 95 auto ecu but dont know if i should install it because I still want my car to pass illinois emission testing.
Any advise would be helpful

The first n/a upgrades are Intake, Header and Exhaust(IHE).
After that; Throttle body,cams, pullies, cam gears, And ECU.
Since you have an Automatic transmission; aftermarket torqe converter Red Line transmission fluid.
1.5 way differential, LSD swap.
5 speed conversion and Stage 3 clutch.
Lighter flywheel? some say yes, some don't. If you live in a place with allot of hills- don't.
After all of this your car might pass the 200 hp mark.

Me - IHE, and LSD swap, Red line transmission fluid. Wait on year.
Tax Return-5 speed conversion with clutch. wait one year.

Thanks for ur help, but I do have a five speed trans. I have an extra ecu for an auto. I also have a kaaz 2 way lsd that I have not installed yet. The. Header is something I didn't even think of. The. Clutch and flywheel are something I want to get done in time.

Weight is the cheapest way to go faster. Lose some weight gain some speed.
like said above cai header and exhaust. Get a high flow cat. Magnaflow sells them for like 120. Next get a set of stock s13 cams use the stock exhaust cam as your intake and run your factory exhaust as your exhaust. Advnace your time to 25* nake sure to run 91min octane. Then go electric cooling fans. Msd coil pack. And a good tune. Might want to consider 370 sr injectors if your getting a tune anyways. Phase 2 q45 injectors are the same thing and you can usually snag those from a yunk yard. Also look into hard wiring your coil pack and get a grounding kit for your batt ect. Thats about it for na thats really worth a damn. Unless you have your heart set on staying na. And to be honest idk if youll pass emissions or not with any of that.
