So I go to start the car the other day and drive a block and it dies. Does this for numerous times repeatedly. Engine light on. Wont go past 2500 rpm. Will idle, but when I put in drive it dies. So I pull the code and got 0102 which indicates MAFS. Checked wires from socket to harness at ECM. Red wire is putting out voltage. Black and white wires have continuity. Checked voltage to MAFS and numbers are all off from spec. Took it apart, looks clean but tried to clean with CRC MAFS Cleaner anyways just to rule it out, no help. So i call dealer for part $500! no way. Checked car-parts.com for junkyard MAFS about $50-150. But ended up getting a remanufactured one from Autozone for $200. Put it on, reset ECM and it works, engine light gone, revs pass 2500 rpm, took it around the block, and its good. Next day took it for another 15 min drive in morning and still good. Go to run some errands in the afternoon and bam same exact problems. Pulled the same code. So maybe got a bad MAFS? but why did it work for a day and just quit? or is something killing my MAFS? Just dont know where to go from here?

Sounds like you have a connection issue. With the car idling start wiggling wires. Primarily the large wiring loom by the r/h strut tower.

Tried wiggleing the wire harness this morning, unplug and plug the socket a couple of times also, loosen & retightened ground points, no change.

Went to kragen and got another remanufactured MAFS, disconnected battery ground, put it in, reset ecm and again it works. Out of safe mode. No egine light, can rev pass 2500rpm, put in drive & doesnt die. i need to test drive next few days to see if it will stay good. hope it doesnt die like the first one.
