The car was hard to start..Had to turn the key on and off a few times to get it to try to start. Went to restart it later and nothing. I do not have power to anything, not even the horn. The remote won't unlock the doors. The battery was checked and is fully charged. It will not jump start. I also replaced the Main 140 amp fusable link. Nothing. Any ideas?

Plug in a battery charger to the car and see if any electricity comes on to the car. If so, possible bad battery. Maybe have something that is draining the battery all the way when the ign is off

If you look at page EL-6 http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Maxima/1997/EL.pdf, you need to check the connections for E53 and E52. You can find the locations for those on page EL-314.

Thats what I was thinking also..A couple of months ago I had to replace the positive battery connector/terminal because the other one was broken. I just attached the cable with the E52 and E53 to the new head. Kind of rigged it. There was corrosion in the connector(red part). I tapped on it and after that I had nothing..Can I cut the connectors off and just expose the wires and attach them to the terminal/connector?

Starter motor is bad or battery is defective
Did anybody moved the distributor?
If someone did and the timing is off, the car will not start and feel very heavy when you try to
turn the ignition key on
