How's it going guys?

My uncle recently has had a problem with his ECU for his Max. I just ordered one for him through Ebay. My question is:

When installing the ECU, do you just plug it in and that's it? or does it require some kind of programming?

I unplugged mine once and just plugged it back in
Be very careful as the pins on the electronic circuit board are very small
I thought it would reset some stuff but it didn't help any

Why did you unplug it? Was yours damaged?

I was trying to fix the idle
Unplugging the ECU did nothing
