1997 Maxima damaged front left abs wheel sensor

When I replaced the front left axle on my Maxima, I had trouble removing the left abs wheel sensor and damaged it. the abs indicator is lite and remains on. My questions are: Will the car operate safely withn the on? Is it worth changing the sensor? Where is the best place to get the sensor?Thank you

You may have problem with your car insurance as well as liability issue if you ever got involved in an accident. You might as well check the ABS fuse. Discounted price of the sensor from IoS (Infiniti of Scottsdale), one of NICO sponsors, is @ $122.
