Hey

im getting a 1997 ka24de. can anyone tell me or send me to a thread.

i want to know what are some of the differences between the 1997 ka24de and any of the other year ka24de's.I know that anything after 1995 has OBD2 equpped systems. but whatelse is there that nissan decided to modify as well, If there is any that is?

91-97 Ka's are very similar. The 91-94 had 3 bolts going through the valve cover while the 95-98 only has 2. Other than that, just about everything is interchangeable and the same. Compression ratios were different between the s13's and the s14's, the latter having a 9.5 instead of a 9.0. The 98's switched to a single row timing chain.

So when they say s14 complete turbo system i can use it on my s13.

hey i saw ur conversation with the guy that has the 97 240sx and u seem to know alot so i wanted to ask you something! i am new to 240sx i am a Nissan guy i had 4 maximas and 2 were turbo i liked those easier lol! well heres the snag man i bought a 1990 240sx for dirt cheap with 150,000 miles but the owner didn't really take care of it so i wanted to do the dohc swap so i found a dohc motor from a 1997 and bought it thinking it would work and a buddy of mine looked around and said that it wont work cuz of the obd1 and obd2 deal so now im stuck the motor has 60,000 miles on the dohc and i dont want to get rid of it so do you got any ideas? let me know bro i would really appreciate it thankZ!!!
