My I30 has developed an (every once in a while) problem.Began with losing power as I pressed the gas pedal to merge into traffic from a highway ramp, or not moving from a stop to turn left into traffic. The dash lights (engine, etc.) did not come on. Took it to local mechanic but it didn't do "it" for them. Then took it to dealership who charged me a lot to replace the knock sensor and replace a plenum gasket. Then said I needed to replace all the coils and my radiator had a crack in it - all for lots more. I drove it for several days with no problem. Now "everyonceinawhile" it stalls completely at a stop - all the lights come on. It starts again with no problem, except that I have to rev it up to keep the engine on so am in a delicate position between the car in front and the car in the rear being impatient. Any help appreciated.

Moved this to the I30 forum.

Sounds like you could have a MAF sensor problem.

Welcome to NICO!
