1997 i30 electronic climate control

hello all,i own a 1997 i30.i noticed that some of the buttons on my electronic climate control don't light up.they're also kinda worn as well so i figured i would just replace the module.i'm finding out i'm having a hard time getting it out of the dash,can anyone tell me EXACTLY how to get it out without destroying my dash? thanks for any help you can provide.

I believe like most Infiniti's you need to remove the trim around the transmission shifter first-it pulls out but be carefull, the tabs can be fragile. Locate the two screws at the base of the wood trim. Remove wood trim and you'll have access to the climate control.
