Troubleshooting a 1997 hardbody 4X4 ECM pin voltages. Pin #56 and Pin #61 have no voltage with ignition on (Power to ECM) (Found a blown Fusible link on battery). (Question#1) Pin # 113 is identified in manual as "Current Return" and was also found at zero voltage with ignition on as this is linked to #56 and #61 (Power Suplly to ECM) no surprise here, fusible link blown out. I have smoked two ECM's trying to fix this electrical short circuit. Before I smoke another one, does anyone know if when the ECM is being powered by it's Back-up power pin #70 with no current loop available (Pin #113), could this create an overheat in the ECM (A.K.A. smoke pouring out of ECM with ignition switch in the on position)???? I Thank all of the Electrical folks in advance if any assistance could be provided. I'm hell bent on keeping this Hardbody out of the junkyard......

That should help, that's the entire factory service manual right there.
