Hey guys im newly registered to this forum. I have visited this website many times before but finally took the time to join it.

I do have a question regarding my truck. The night before I drove my vehicle home from class with no issues. I woke up in the morning for work to find that i couldn't put my truck into any gears besides 5th and Reverse. All the rest of the gears were like hitting a wall. Needless to say i couldn't drive it in 5th but when i tried to put it in reverse the vehicle would just bog out and not move the truck. I even tried revving it up to 5k Rpms. All that being said i am able to drive the truck even though its in neutral. I believe it is 1st gear that im driving in. So in essence it is stuck in 1st gear even though it is in neutral.

Any help would be awesome.

Sounds like a clutch malfunction. If the truck is turned off can you shift through all the gears?

Ya you could say that. I was able to drive the truck with it in neutral. Judging the speed and rpms i could reach im guessing it was in 1st gear.

Does it lurch with the pedal pressed to the floor?

Had a mechanic work on it. Ended up being the shifting fork fell out of place and was stuck in 1st gear. Just figured id tell everyone in case someone else runs into a similar problem.

It did sound like something like that was causing that based on your description. Glad you got it sorted out.
