When i test drove the car prior to purchase the car had a JDM gauge cluster in it. When i bought the car i asked the seller to put the USDM speedometer back in the car because it reflected the actual miles on the car in order to aviod a mileage exempt title. With the JDM cluster it worked as one would expect. With the USDM speedometer installed the gauge pins all the way once you reach 50mph or so and the odometer regesters about 2.1 miles for every mile traveled. It operates very smoothly but registers way to fast.Again the JDM cluster was left in place..only the speedometer was changed. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

There are different interpriters for the speedo sensors inside the gauge clusters... This is how they can make the same speedo sensor work on the same car...

Youll have to swap the whole cluster for it to work.

you should have grabbed the speed sensor from your original transmission and shoved it into the sr's transmission when doing the swap.

the swap was done when we bought the car so that wasn't an option.it sounds as if i will need to get a new speed sensor in addition to the gauge cluster i just purchased?
