So, there are a bunch of black hoses around my intake that I want/ need to replace. I have searched the bulk of my FSM and this website and found no specifications about the actual hoses beyond where they go and what they connect to. I understand that some are Fuel lines that could be under pressure and have gas and/ or vapors in them, EVAP lines that may have some amount of air and/ or fuel vapor in them, then maybe some EGR hoses with exhaust fumes in them, Crank Ventilation hoses with air and sludge vapors, Idle and Auxiliary Idle valve hoses with just air in them, and maybe some Vacuum lines for my brake booster with just air in them... There are probably more types that I'm overlooking. I want to replace them all. I need to replace the EVAP lines as I'm getting codes thrown from the ECU. I need the size of the hoses and the material they should be made of please. It's okay if you don't know all the hose specs I want, any partial data would be greatly appreciated! I want to get it right because I've seen silicone dress up kits with random sizes, black rubber hoses with random sizes and heard there might be lined hoses for fuel or pressure related stuff. That's too many choices that I don't understand! Furthermore I've read horror stories of incorrect line sizes causing incorrect pressures and messing up how the engine runs. So, I don't want to just eyeball a diameter from old, potentially deformed, stretched or shrunk hoses.

To get the right size take the hose(s) you want to replace into the local autoparts store tell the clerk what you looking to do.

Alot of the hoses rear the intake are actually vaccuum hoses going to and/or from various emissions control devices.

So, nobody knows anything about hoses? Except of course, the high school kids that work at the local parts store? Damn. No sizes or materials? Just eyeball everything? No chance of driving to the parts store or do I just start ripping hoses out in the parking lot and dragging them in to the kid at the counter? WEAK!

I figured the last few sentences of my post would have made it obvious I don't want to go that route or that someone might chime in explaining why my concerns were unreasonable, but I was wrong.

Anyone else please? Pretty please.
