When I first purchased my car the hazard lights would not work. The turn signal works just fine as long as the hazard button is not pressed in. I replaced the switch and no luck. I traced down the problem to agreen wire with silver bands on it that is supposed to provide constant voltage to the switch. I read in my FSM that fuse number 3 ( a ten amp ) supplies the voltage, I checked the fuse and it's good. So I assume that the problem lies between the fusebox and the switch, but I cannot find any breaks or disconnected wire under the dash. I was hoping that someone would have a suggestion before I pull off my dashboard in a mad hunt to find the problem.

Secondly, my overdrive used to work just fine, now it doesn't. The light lights up when the car is started (like all the rest of them) but the button on the shifter does nothing. I checked to make sure that everything is still connected, but to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

your overdrive switch is not fused, it recieves power from the TCM and is a switched ground circuit. meaing when you push the button to turn it off you supply the circuit with a ground. In turn when you do this the TCM supplies the indicator with a ground to turn the bulb on. Now you say the bulb turns on when you go to start the car. This indicates the bulb circuit from the fuse to the TCM is ok. This means you ground switching is not taking place. My GUESS is your wires are broke at the base of the shifter. How ever there is a connector in that area as well you could check to be sure it is plugged in and not covered in soda or coffee you might have spilled down there.

on your hazards have you used a test light or meter to test for voltage on the fuse? Not just that the fuse looks good but wether there is power on either side? This wire your talking about should be terminal #3 on the hazard switch. it should be one of the bottom corners oppisite the connector key.

Thanks for the info on the Overdrive switch, I'll check that out.

I did use the test light on the fuse itself, and yes I've got current to the fuse, however I did not test the terminals on the switch I'll try that next.

Thanks for the info.
