alright everybody see if you can help me out. this is my first post. yesterday i was driving my 240 around town and went through a nice size puddle of water. it had just stopped raining. i have a cold air intake with just some headers and 3 inch exhaust with a magnaflow. it sure enough sucked up a little bit of water and stalled out. let it sit for like 10 min and started her up again. puffed out white smoke, and gave it a couple of revs so it could clear out. and all of a sudden I heard a knocking noise. checked all the exhaust and pulleys everything seemed fine. i hear the knock coming from the top end. i dont think its a rod knock, oil is super clean no chocolate sludge, and its not loud enough for the rod knock. car still has power and doesnt smoke. revs up high like normal runs like normal but just knocks. anybody have any ideas? took the valve cover off and i cant see any visible damage.. timing chain is real tight. thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated.
