1997 200sx SE-R automatic transmission trouble

After I finally got my engine running just about right, I started having trouble with the transmission. The transmission will shift into park, neutral, reverse and drive, but while its in drive it wont shift through the gears. It feels like it is stuck in 2nd. when I shift the car into first, it wont go anywhere until I hit about 3000rpm, then it just rolls really slow. Any Ideas? Thanks

I hate to tell you this but your gears in the transmission is worn out. This happen to my 1993 Ford escort wagon 2yrs ago and it had over 180,000 miles and the transmission was having the same problem is you then found out it was the gears in the transmission. How many miles do you have? You might have to re-place it sorry to tell you.
