1997-2001 Q45 Gas Tank Location

where is the gas tank located in a 1997-2001 q45. I have a j30 and the gas tank is in the trunk. i also think in a 90-96 q45 the gas tank is in the trunk. what about a 1997-2001. i hope its under the car. also does anyone have a picture of the rear deck from the trunk side and from the interior side. thank you. im planing on doing some sort of subwoofer install in the rear deck firing into the cabin. and maybe porting threw the ski hole/arm rest hole.

I looked in the FSM... looks like a trunk-mounted tank. Is there actually a pass-through to the trunk behind the rear arm rest?

i dont have a repair manual so i cant find out. i guess its my worst fear. this will probably make me not buy this car now. i have a j30 and i love my bass. i had to build a wall in the back seat because the gas tank is in the way. i also hate trunk rattles. i guess then the 2002-on are the only ones with the gas tank under the car.

2.) You primarily want a container for your bass driver, a car is secondary.

I have a 98 Q45 and the tank is right behind the back seat. No port through to the trunk via armrest either. I have one amp turned way down hidden above the gas tank and one 12 inch sub in a cube box in the trunk. I was worried at 1st too but there is plenty of bass making it into the cabin.
