1996 xe water in crankcase

I have a 96 xe with water going in the crank case.
Here's what I know.
I left water in the radiator through the winter. Stupid I know Just didn't have a chance to get to it.
Wife went out mid winter and turned the engine over a few times and kept trying wouldn't start.
Finally a warm day comes around and I go and flush the system, water starts pouring out the back of the engine.(figure freezeout plug) water level stays in radiator so i drive it 2 miles later engine shuts off no water no oil

engine still turns put in freeze out plug change valve cover gasket fill oil water (5 gallons and still thirsty.).engine starts water in oil oil in water.
Yeah I know stupid right
but
what do i do what could it be? cracked case probably but what else?
