Problems started with chugging when the truck ran over 3000 RPMs.
I replaced the MAF sensor and that problem was solved.

Now, the truck starts just fine and idles great for about five seconds, then just dies. It will start right back up immediately, and do the same thing.
I borrowed an OBDII reader, but it pulled no codes.

I replaced the fuel filter (cause it was cheap and I've never changed it before). No change.

Today I replaced the throttle position sensor. Again, no change.

I'm not even sure what to try next. Wouldn't I pull a code if it was the O2 sensor?
Any other thoughts?

Welcome to NICO!
Sorry to hear about your troubles with the truck.
We can help you out a bit further, but need a little more information- the model of your truck, which engine, 4wd or 2wd, and sub model (if there is one).

Off the bat though, I'd test for spark and fuel to confirm you have both. Pull a fuel injector and crank the engine over to see if there is fuel. If so, repeat with the spark plug wire. After that I'd look for any loose grounds or vacuum hoses that might've come loose. Also- check your timing and search for additional vacuum leaks. To search for vacuum leaks, spray carb cleaner in/around the vacuum lines while starting to see of the engine will rev and race the RPM's. They may be cracked or broken completely.

I'm suspecting the Fuel Pump.

Seem's like I remember that Electrical to Fuel Pump Switch's over to another Circuit after the Engine Starts. I may have that wrong,, but still think that something is causeing the Fuel Pump to quit.

1996 base model pickup, 2.4L engine, 4WD.

I've got spark all around, and no problem with fuel. At least getting to where it needs to be.
I'm thinking something with the fuel/air mixture.

Did you check out the Fuel Pump Relay?

I finally gave up and had it towed to a shop.

Come to find out, it was the throttle control sensor, but I failed to plug it back in completely

At least it's running now.

Thanks everyone for your assistance.

Its always something!!

Don't sweat it, its easy to miss something small when you're frustrated and staring at the same problem over and over for hours.
