hi Q Techs, I just recently bought a set of 1996 Q45 seats for a very good deal. I'm trying to replace my old ones from my 1992 Q. The problem I didn't anticipate has to do with the wiring. They're competely different and very confusing. It seems very doable though if one can just figure out the wiring connections. If anyone has done this before, please help by providing assistance on how to connect the wires. I already know I'd have to run additional wires to make it work...I just need to know which wire connects to which.Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I've also have wondered if you can do the reverse - 92 seats into a 94+. I'm one of the few who find the earlier seats more comfortable than the 94+ seats. I also think they look better.

I don't know anything regarding the wiring harnesses. You might want to see if someone can post any info/diagrams from a 94+ service manual.

The 94+ seats have power headrests, inflatable lumbar (driver's side) and some have heated seats.

Do this... take the seat off the frame and put it on the early model frame.

I think most people would agree that the earlier seats are more comfortable after having sat in them.

Actually in all honesty my 1993 Q45 seat is kinda hard, But I live how the side bolsters keep you in in the seat around hard turns.

But how do you go about taking the seat off the frame?

I just want to know if it is possible to take the actual cushions from the sat assembly and put it on another seat assembly?

Early models didn't have power head rests. Did they have power lumbar support?

Nope they don't have either, but I just talked to Wes and he says the cushion does separate from the seat assembly.

But the heated part doesn't separate easily, but anything is possible hint hint.
