I finally got the bolt loosened, but the pulley is not moving. Does the bolt need to be completely removed? Is the pulley supposed to slide down the slot in the arm? Any help is appreciated, I'm not much of a mechanic.

Did you unscrew the nut on the pulley itself before you tried the tensioner?

I did not at first, but now have found out that is the trick. Thanks. Don't forget the bolt is threaded backwards, for whomever needs help.

When I did buy pulleys I just replaced the entire tensioner, bracket, and pulley itself. They run 50-75$. Yes it was expensive but rather than finding the bearing size. Pressing in and out. I just went ahead and bought all the pulleys. I am over 250k and I don't think I have to worry about pulleys again

That's definitely not a bad way of doing it. I replaced the bearings and it was great for me because I was able to get the bearings easier than getting the pullies.. Conveniently all the bearings are the same...

I think bearing replacement is the way to go, first it is cheaper my 2000 y33 used 12x37x12 bearings I got them for $14 they were SKF and were metal shielded vs the rubber shield(rubber is OEM) I think metal shield is better. Only issue PIA to get them out

Not sure what your talking about exactly but if you mean idler pulley you might want to tighten it up in regards to the bolt that holds the pulley on.
