So I found out what my 1996 Q45 check engine light was. Bad camshaft sensor, MAF, all 4 O2 sensors, both knock sensors and going to change the harness as well. Also going to change the hoses, gaskets and spark plugs. Going to clean the intake plenum and throttle body. So with about 95K miles should I change the fuel injectors as well since the plenum is coming off? If so should I only go OEM or aftermarket is ok? All other parts are OEM, but I was also looking at Deatschwerks.
I also finally got the 1991 Q45 smogged. I had to clean out the EGR. It is still smoking though on cold nights so I think it is the condensation like someone mentioned before. Also the coolant level stopped going down. No oil/coolant mixture was found so the head gasket was good.
I still have interior issues with both of the front seats. I was quoted $1,700 for drivers and passenger seats for real leather and $1,300 for vinyl that feels like the same thing. Also $150 for the door panel as well each. Does anyone know of another alternative in Southern California? Thanks guys.
