Dear All,

Bought this car from BAT, it was working condition, shipped from US to Kuwait, and it seems that they missed up the battery and jump it and multiple things happened.

The Steering adjust, seat movement, windows and locks were working at the port, delivered to home by towing company. Off loaded, then I tried to start it next day, first I unloaded it by the remote, the internal dome light started to flash strangely (as if no power) then the easy entry didn’t work well. The BCM started to clicks several times. Then it seems it passed away.

The car battery might be not perfect so I replaced it. The car starts well. But nothing work (related to BCM) the windows, seat, locks, Rear Window defroster, Meanwhile, the head lights high and low, stereo and the reading ligh along with the middle dome light works fine.

I opened the BCM, and it seems the capacitors melted, so I tried to fix it with specialist, he stated that he fixed it, but after install it, I reconnected the main battery, but no power to the BCM, I checked all the fuses in cabin and under the hood, everything was good.

I read that there are circuit breakers, I’m not sure where is the one related to the BCM, and is it replaceable or just removing it and connecting it again? Because I just want to make sure if the guy did fix the BCM

I’m not sure where to find a good one, any recommendation ?

Another topic, the speakers have issues, the rear one was disconnected from the cable, so difenatly from the previous seller, and the front left started to buzz, It might be also from the same scenario.

Appreciate your support guys

You can find a power schematic on EL-15 here...
https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 6%2Fel.pdf
...and detailed wiring diagrams on the preceding pages. If the guys at the port reverse-jumpstarted it, there's a very good chance of blown fuses and/or fusible links in the Link Box behind the battery. Pretty much everything you mentioned branches from the circuit with 75A fusible link "g". Reverse jumps often blow up control units and not just fuses, and on a car that old, for your sake I hope that isn't the case.

Thanks @VStar650CL for the reply
Ok good news the 75A is working fine, tested all the fuses again, and they are fine. It seems that the car wasn’t jumped wrongly, but a defect I guess in the BCM, I guess shipping over 3 months, and stopping at port for another month (4 in total) made the power less and might drained some elements.

The good news is that I checked the power supply from the car to the blue cable (connecting to the BCM, it has power in 12V. And the tested the retuned black, the circuit is working fine, this confirms I guess the BCM is damaged, I returned back to the guy who fixed it to double check all the units and hopefully to replace the defected one, Meanwhile I might order a new refurbusrshied unit from one of the site, I’m not sure if anyone tried them before. My car is Q45t so I guess I have to look for similar exact unit.

The other good news is that both speakers has been fixed by this Chinese guy here in Kuwait, he’s specialized in Fredges and older devices, so luckily I found the spare parts, now I have left speakers louder than the right side, therefore I will have to replace the other ones just to avoid issues in the future.

Ok. It failed .. I need new BCM. Any chance where to find it? Just bought one from eBay but I might need a guaranteed working one.

Any help will be appreciated.

I can work out with anyone who have a car in junk yard next to him and forward it to me

Googling the part number will often turn up sources for what you're looking for. Amayama can still get a lot of new OEM Nissan parts from Japan, but they're not cheap and shipping usually sucks.

Not to mention tariffs.
