With the help of this site on a few things, myself and a good mechanic friend have recently (last month) replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, FPCU, alternator, battery, cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor, along with a few other minor adjustments. The car ran great for about 2 weeks and then low and behold the first cold St Louis morning this year I go to start my car and after running for a few minutes the idle begins to fluctuate from 500-2500 RPM uncontrollably while sputtering exaust like I have never seen before and then it died!! Since then i have tried to start the car several times and rarely after the third or fourth try it will kick over but only momentarily and it is not responsive to the gas pedal. I did notice the check engine light came on after i performed all the earlier mentioned repairs but it died before i got it in for diagnostics. Yesterday I removed one of the O2 sensors and it looks to me like it may be original and I'm at 160,000 now. Fuel pump is humming and there is gas in the line. Would 4 new O2 sensors possibly solve this problem??? Thanks for all your help!!!

Probably new MAF or MAF connections would solve the problem. Also check the crank position sensor wiring connection. Check for vacuum leaks!
