1996 Pathfinder - Won't Start, No Clicking Sound

Howdy!

I just had the valve cover gaskets replaced on my Pathfinder. It cranked beautifully the first time, and stalled every time after that. I can get the car to start by giving a little gas when starting it up. It kicked two codes P0505 and P0325. Even with the codes, the car drove beautifully.

Today, after having driven it multiple times, the car simply stopped cranking. This happened once yesterday but resolved itself after a short time. The lights on the dash illuminate, the radio lights up, etc. but there is no clicking sound at all.

What I've done:
~ Disconnected the battery for a length of time.
~ Checked starter fuse and ignition fuses.
~ Tried various methods of resetting the anti-theft in case that was the issue.

I am not sure what the issue is at this point...

Does the security system disable the starting of the car? The alarm didn't sound and I've never had this happen before.

Is there a relay or something that I'm missing and should check?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had the same problem for years now with my 2003 pathfinder. Sometimes when I turn the key, the engine starts right up and other times I just get dead silence. Same story with the lights also. The car usually starts up after a while of trying, pumping the gas, and patience. I've been looking at other forums and wanted to try and swap out the starter relay for a new one and try my luck. I've already replaced the starter twice and I don't think that's the issue. The battery is fine. I'm not very familiar with the starter relay location unless the relay is labeled as something other than "starter" (I've found many relays just don't seem to be the ones I'm looking for). I know this doesn't help you much, but you're not the only guy having this problem and I hope someone comes along with an answer for us

Hey. I have an 02' pathfinder SE and had similar issues upon start up with my car clicking but i had no fuel, spark, or my starter simply wouldnt engage. Dont know what codes you pulled but on my truck it read codes telling me NATS(nissan anti-theft sytem) was the issue. In the end the magnet or sensor that reads the chip on my key was the issue. After i replaced that n had both my keys re-programmed, it started up fine every time.
