Hey everyone. I have a few questions an I am wondering if anyone can help me.

1. I am having real bad problems with my Pathfinder. It revs real high, about 3200 , before it switches from 1st to 2nd. Once I hit 40 MPH, the RPM is at about 4500 and then jumps all the way to 5500 RPM. At 6000 RPM I am barely picking up any speed. It then starts to drop in speed regardless of how much gas I give it.

2. My check engine light is on and when I went to Advanced their machine said that i am getting code error 0220, which is a Pedal/Throttle Position Sensor failure. I have since then replaced it yet I am still having the same problems. Could it possibly be the connectors to the TPS? Could I possibly buy aftermarket ones and replace them? My brother told me that it could be the Mass Air Sensor also. Is there any way to test a bad mass air sensor? I wanted to consult you guys before I spent $300 on it.

3. My door and tailgate locks are all bad. I tried using some PB Blaster on them but nothing still. After, I removed the front passenger door panel. My question is, how do I take off the door lock cylinders for the fronts & tailgate? I see no way to remove it.

Thanks for looking and I apprciate any and all replies.

MAF will make it run rough. I bet you couldn't get to 6000RPM with a bad MAF. Does it idle well?

I can take only a wild guess at it but you will only be out $10 if wrong.

Fuel Filter.

I know nothing about codes, and this is probably not the fix, but some of that sounds like fuel filter clogged. A simple job. Search to find out more on how.

Thanks tmorgan4 & issac. The car idles fine. I decided to bring my car to the dealer for a diagnostics check. Costs me $75 but I suppose it's worth it.

Does anyone know how to get the door lock cylinders off? I'm planning on buying one for the driver and one for the tailgate. It's getting nice out and I want to put in my system but since none of the locks work with my key I can't. Thanks again everyone.

Fuel filters idle fine. Demand catches up, then it drags it down.
