1996 Maxima Tachometer problem

Hi,I'm new to this forum but I've owned a 1997 Maxima SE and a Titan.I've just recenty purchased a 1996 Maxima SE (1 owner) with 72000 miles on it that is in excellent condition. The owner was an elderly man who had a Nissan extended warranty plan and maintained the vehicle right up until the time he passed away. The only issue with the vehicle is that the tachometer doesn't work at all.Any suggestions on how I might be able to troubleshoot it would be appreciated.Thanks
