check the MAF, and the wires going in to the plug. sounds like common symptoms.

Would The MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor?) give cause the car to just shut off while driving without no symtoms at all.....i mean when it dies, if the power steering didnt lock up and the dash idiont lights didnt blink like you were just starting car , u wouldnt know it shut off (NO WARNING, its odd)...plus starting back up like a charm....hmmm!! perhaps!! what are some signs of a MAF problem?....im new to this sorry if its a silly question!

definatly check the wiring for the maf and then if thats not pulled out or messed up clean out the maf. Be careful when you do this tho because you can easily break it. Make sure you use the right tyoe of cleaner

Your symptoms are a warning sign.

I would have to say it's an electrical problem. You may have contact one moment and not the next due to fluctuating engine temps, corrosion, bumps etc.

I'd check the MAF first since its an easy check. They check your vacuum hoses to the intake. I did a custom intake just recently and pulled a "stupid" by using epoxy to hold on the vacuum inlets. My car just stalled on a hot day with the CEL coming on and an abrupt stall.

I found out that the epoxy melted and the engine died when it didn't have those hoses attached.
