1996 Maxima 5-speed turbo problems and 800 miles from home

hey all i am in atl from south fla with my boosted maxima.. i had a problem that started on the way up here and it seams to get worse.. I was here for nopi but now i have to go home on tuesday with this problem.. any way here is the problem..

when driving.. cruse set or not dosnt matter and you go down a hill or just let off the gas to cost.. the engine will loose all power it is like i am looseing fuel but not to sure about that.. i dont know it dosnt happen all the time and can happen on 45mph roads and 70mph roads too. i elimated the bov, the egr, fpr, i think it is the maf or fuel pump.. but the thing it that the car will stall for a short time then come back on.. i have seen some places where they say the maf has to be stiright up and down i dont know.. maybe.. i removed it and there was a oily resdue inside the maf.. well any info would help and if you live in the atl area i might be wanting to buy a Z32 maf tommrow monday haha well let me know thanks again.

It sounds like a MAF problem, and the oily residue makes me think that even more. Try a can of electrical contact cleaner on the MAF element before you replace it.
