Any ideas or common problems??? I do have one problem under the hood that I know of... The breather tube from the valve cover to the intake is broken... The nipple on the intake side is broken off... I just got the car and that is one of the things I plan on fixing... Could this be it or is there some common problem that I haven't found yet in all my reading...

Well, i waited a little past the mileage on the sticker to change my oil recently and once i got it changed it stopped rough idling for me (although it only did it three or four times earlier in that day). It could be something as simple as that.

that hose could be your problem since I believe that is your pcv inlet and its past your air flow meter. replace that and recheck it.

If you have plug wires on your I30, that could be the problem...Seriiously, how many miles on the car and when was the last time you checked your spark plugs? I recently changed mine (interval sez 60K, experience told me 40-50K) At 45K took out the old, in with the new. Idled great. Next day, backed it out and ran rougher than H%ll. Put old plugs back in, ran just fine...Took "new" plugs back to NAPA, gots some "better" ones. Now runs fine. Point is, these cars DO NOT like cheap plugs...

What plugs do you recomend??? I haven't changed the plugs/wires since I bought the car... Other than the idle it seems to run great...

Factory NGK's are good. I am running Autolite's. Do not let the parts jockeys sell you Bosch 4201's. The plug just isn't up to the demand of this engine. Double or Quad Platinum is the ONLY way to go, or Iridium. The factor NGK's are about $12 EA (x6), but at least you will not have to change plug wires (there are not any).

I guess I should actualy open the hood and look under there a bit more... I still need to find a new airbox for it... Or go with an aftermarket intake, one of the two...

What I said was:"these cars DO NOT like cheap plugs..."I did not say they were no good for your car. You will probably just be a little disappointed down the road....

Bosch plugs got compatibility issues with Infiniti cars, based on previous postings. Get OEM plugs per Nistech's recommendation. There is a club member "elwesso" in the Infiniti forum who sells OEM plugs for a set of 4/6/8 @$7.50 each.
