1996 G50 keyless-ready from factory??

this probably has been discussed quite a few times, but i simply cannot find the info with the search function. sorry.

i am seing those remotes on ebay for Q45s, so i am trying to find out if they will work for me. how do i find out if my 96 Q45 is equipped for one of those? and does anyone know of a cheaper after-market remote that does the job?

Your Q had keyless entry. You just need the remote, and we can show you how to program it!

You must need an owner's manual, so go to

You can also download the FSM and TSB, but it will cost you a one day subscription.

Search on "program remote" in message body and you should hit several of the posts that will tell you how, as does the FSM.

Brian- I just bought a used remote. What section/page of the FSM can I find the programming instructions. It's a big book with no index. I could be looking for a month. Thanks.

got the remote! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...78348ordered WED night, got it FR morning - this guy ships fast! a little more beaten up than the pic suggested, but with above instructions it worked on first try. SWEEET
