can not start car because alarm is going off does anybody know how to reset it

lock/unlock with key in driver door (i think)

Yes, you opened your car by reaching in the window and unlocking without the door open. That sets off a silent alarm. Just Unlock your door the key and it should be good to go. This happened to me once and took me forever to figure out.
