My brake lights stopped working. I replaced brake light switch and lights started working again. When I went to mount new switch, heard a small pop like a fuse had blown. Now nothing on truck works except headlights. Won't start, no blinkers, no dash lights.

Check your fusible links, sounds like you popped the main one.

Is main fusible link the one next to the battery? Thanks for responding.

I don't recall specifically on the D21's, but all the links on all the older stuff are usually right next to the battery in their own box.

Check for poor connection at battery cables. The fuseable link is located on the positive battery cable. Remove the tape on the positive cable. The link (wire) is red in color. The link contains a rafter full of various wires. Check the wires for corrosion and good contact. Also on the passenger side near the hood hinge you will find a black box with various relays. Pull the cover on the fuse box look on the back it shows a diagram indicating the location of each fuse and what it's for. Directly above the fuse box is a row of relays. The relays are spendy. You can check them individually or borrow one example the one under the hood that controls the A/C provided the ends are the same
