Million dollar question, why? What would be the purpose? This will make your car take longer to get up in speed, slower acceleration.

It's a Bonneville salt flat car. The previous owner used a gear-vender unit to get more speed. I didn't like the two short drive shafts between the trans and rear end. I didn't want to tell the whole story of what the car is used for and offend some of the purest. It's a classic car and deserves better treatment than it's going to get on the salt flats. Bill T.

Your going for land speed...there is nothing wrong with that. Some of the guys on here do track racing, so that sees plenty of abuse if not more than the salt flats.

If you do not like the two piece drive shaft, look up shaftmasters, they are a vendor on here, they can set you up with a one piece. Well worth it as again most of us have one on here. For gears contact Specialty Z, they may know where you could get taller gears for the rear end. Below are links for vendors that deal with Z32's. Good luck to you!
