So, I just purchased a 1996 300 ZX TT and will be the first to admit I am HOOKED! What a car! With that being said, it also has a few modifications that I have never dealt with, specifically the APEXi AFCNeo. I am a 54 year old shade tree mechanic that does basic work on American cars that I own, so this is a little challenging. I know it is a basic "piggyback" tuner and it changes MAP settings for the car. I don't want to mess anything up and am looking for advice on how to effectively utilize this tool. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the new buy. As for the AFC its a basic piggyback which allows you to adjust your fuel, air, and timing parameters. To learn how to use it you first have to learn the basics of tuning and how all of the systems in the car (sensors, and ECU) intertwine. Then you can get to the gritty of changing your settings. I don't have the time or desire to write up the basics but luckily I don't have to because they are all over the net. the site I used when learning seems to be down but if you search you will find results plentiful. This really is something that requires you to do some basic reading and ask questions because its a fairly long process to explain everything.
