I'm looking for pricing advice on a 1996 300zx 2+2 with 38,000 miles. Automatic transmission, garage kept so the paint looks great except for a small area on the rear bumper.

You have this posted in the Austin CL for like 13k+ right? IMO that's a bit high even for such low miles. With no mods and NA/2+2, I would have a hard time justifying paying that much. You should swing it by the monthly Z Club meeting tonight to get more opinions. Http://Czot.org

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. On CL I definitely wanted to start high... but here I wanted to get more informed opinions (like yours) before actually posting an ad. I don't think I can make the meeting tonight, but definitely good advice.

Now that I have more time and am not posting from my phone. The 300ZX's ive seen listed around 13k are usually either manual TT's with a moderate amount of mods, or stock, clean, low miles manual TTs, but even they aren't usually pushing that much without at least a couple mods. I'm sure there's someone out there to that would love to have a pristine condition 300ZX, but you're going to take a hit to that price for it being non-TT, being a 96 (because of changes made to this year) and for being an automatic. Listing around 13k for Craigslist surely won't hurt, but might scare away some people. Regardless of your listing price you're still going to get idiots that email you with "wanna trade 4 my 94 civic + $1k cash? YOLO!". I haven't been around here forever either, but based on what I've seen you're probably looking at $10k, maybe 11k if someone really appreciates how clean it is, but that's probably pushing it. You might also want to consider posting to the classifieds here as well.
