1996 240sx trans wiring ??

hello iam new here and have a queston . i have bought a 1996 240sx and its super clean
but the problem is its auto , so auto to 5 speed swap . i have been buying parts to start my
queston is instead of cutting and splicing the auto harness , can i take a 5 speed trans harness and
plug it into the engine harness and just run a 5 speed ecu or will this not work ?? any help is greatly
appreciated, iam just trying not to cut wires here

theres ALOT of info on this swap. I'm just curious as to why you choose to not solder the required connections and use the 5sp ecu. my advice is either open the fsm or search google, find what exactly the differences are between the 2 harnesses (auto and manual) and the ecus and come back with any questions. Just what I would do.

Use an uncut harness instead of cutting one and i have
Searched long hours and found that everyone cuts theres

The plugs from the lower harness to the engine harness usually differ between manual and automatic models. I've only done swaps on the S13, and the plug ins are physically different, but I"m not sure about the S14. I would imagine the issue is the same as there's a lot more wiring for the auto trans than the manual trans, and that plays into what plugs exist on the harness.
